7 indicatives common to addicts:

1-As children, they were unhappy people.

2-They were restless, anxious, chronically and painfully UP.(Something biological going on here).

3-They didn’t like themselves-even hated WHO they were.

4-They didn’t like WHERE they were – wished they could get away.(Something must have happened).

5-They didn’t like WHAT they were doing or forced to do.

6-They didn’t like what people in their lives had done/not done to comfort them when they needed it.

7-They had recurring feelings of panic, self-doubt, despair, pain, anger, resentment. They desperately wanted to be seen by others as someone better than they KNEW themselves to be.
